Hicking with the mountain railways? Amazing ...
Hicking fun for the whole family! With the BergWelt lift and hiking pass ( 7, 14 days or season tickets) the mountain railways in the Wilder Kaiser-Brixental holiday region offer you unlimited possibilities. Enjoy the comfort of the cable cars, a funicular and several chair lifts (up to 13 cable railways and lifts) that run in the summer across the whole region, without having to worry about local borders, as often as you want and can within the period of validity.

On the enjoyable adventure trail "Hexenwasser" (Witches' Water) in Hochsöll, even cool youngsters forget that they didn't want to go hiking. Reservoirs, gullies, climbing ponds, mud pools and camp fires (more than 60 activity stations) leave no time for boredom. Parents can either get some inspiration in the Kneipp pools or have their reflex zones massaged along Austria's longest "barefoot path" across grass, bark and stones. Another highlight is the unique panoramic view of the 70 peaks that reach over 3,000 m high from the Hohe Salve. The view gets even better thanks to Austria's first revolving panoramic terrace, a wind harp and 15 sundial stations.

A kingdom of fun at 1,650 m

Near the summit of the Brandstadl and not very far from the cable car station is the KaiserWelt, where young and older children can romp around to their heart's content. There are a lot of new things to be discovered in a little wood which also features tree huts, slides and climbing equipment. Parents can either join in or enjoy the marvellous views of the Hohe Tauern on the one side and the Wilder Kaiser on the other, and relax in the healthy mountain air.

Discover Ellmi‘s Zauberwelt

High up on Ellmau's Hartkaiser mountain you and your children can take a glimpse into a magical fairytale world. You might even come across a few mysterious creatures in the botanic gardens. Make sure you keep a look out in the new panoramic restaurant with its imposing views of the Wilder Kaiser mountains as well - you never know when a little gnome might suddenly try to share your snacks - they recognize good food is too!

A mountain of tiny wonders

Again in 2006 children large and small can experience the fascinating world of the mountains. Alpinolino, the adventure park in Westendorf, with many new features and attractions. On guided nature walks you can playfully uncover the secrets of the splendid mountain world of the Brixental and discover some adventurous and valuable curiosities. Exciting and surprising experiences await on the "marmot rally" and the "animal puzzle tour" for amateur sleuths and hobby adventurers young and old. Immerse yourself in a world of sagas, myths and treasures in the Westendorfer Bergwelt.

Brixen‘s new summer freshness

Set in breathtaking surroundings, the Filzalmsee lake is Tyrol's largest reservoir and presents the visitor with an enchanting landscape of Alpine pastures in which there is a wealth of things to explore and discover. If you look closely enough you're sure to come across plenty of nature's rarities because the Filzalmsee lake is surrounded by a moor where rare types of plants and animals grow and live. You can hold seminars and courses in a mountain hut in the magical mountain world of Hochbrixen

One of the most stunning mountains in Tyrol

Travel up to one of the most stunning vantage points in Tyrol with the Hopfgarten lifts - the Hohe Salve. With its dome-shaped peak that can be seen far and wide, the Hohe Salve has, for a long time and not unjustly, carried the name "Rigi of Tyrol". Awaiting visitors are wonderful panoramic trails, countless friendly alpine lodges and an impressive view of the highest mountains in Austria! Hike the "High 4" - children get a kid's hiking pass! The four lodge-keepers - Tenn, Rigi, Kraftalm and the Hohe Salve summit restaurant - will stamp the children's hiking passes and provide children's play areas, small animals, Salve giants, a climbing tree and much more - particularly child friendly. Every complete kid's hiking pass that is handed in goes into a raffle at the end of the season!
